On Thursday, March 11, 2021, Dunham and Ingram’s own Christopher Dunham received the first not guilty verdict in Marion County since the pandemic shut down jury trials. Mr. Dunham’s client was charged with battering his girlfriend.
The State’s evidence against the client included witness testimony, police reports, and photographs of alleged injuries. Mr. Dunham was able to demonstrate reasonable doubt to the jury when he showed that the alleged victim had stolen from the Defendant and was lying in order to avoid her own prosecution.
It took the jury just thirty minutes to eat lunch, elect a foreperson and find the client not guilty.
